What is Women's Counselling?
Women's counselling is a specialised therapeutic service designed to support women through life and mental health challenges in a safe, trauma-informed environment. It addresses issues like relationship conflicts, anxiety, grief, and the impacts of domestic or family violence, empowering women to develop coping skills and improve their overall well-being.
Because women's counselling covers a wide range of needs, it is typically tailored to address several specific subtopics and life stages.
Filling up Your Cup
In this modern age, it is easy to neglect self care like you are pouring from an empty cup. If you are constantly juggling work, kids, family, finances, and more, you’ll quickly end up burnt out – with less in your emotional cup. An empty cup means your ability to care for others will be non-existent when you don’t even have the time or energy to care for yourself. Sound familiar?
Usually, our default mindset is: “Well, I’m coping right now, I can just get through the day and deal with it later.” But so often we put it off again, and again, and again, until one day we reach for our cup and find that it is completely empty. We ask ourselves, “How did it get this bad?”, and we wonder why we didn’t do anything about it sooner.
So, now is your chance to fill you cup up, to prioritise yourself and “make” the time to sort through some things you have been putting off. To take control of your happiness and to be heard by someone who won't judge you, but instead will encourage you to create your best life.
Our counsellors commonly see clients who are considering leaving their relationships. They may want to do couples therapy but their partners do not want to see a professional. They may be victims of domestic violence and childhood abuse. Our therapeutic approach is to support women in a non-judgemental manner, helping women to take control over their own lives.

Success Stories
Case Study Women's Counselling:
Casey was a young woman about to have a baby. She was in an abusive marriage and needed to get out, but felt stuck and powerless. After a few counselling sessions (including NLP) she turned her life around.
Casey is now thriving as a manager with multiple staff. She refers people to me all the time. She says to people, '...Don't wait! NLP with Ghita is a lifechanger.' I am always grateful when there are big shifts in my clients. There is a domino effect: One person changes a community. - Ghita
★★★★★ Google Review 2021: Anxiety and Depression (NLP Submodalities): 'I had the pleasure of seeing Ghita for a few mental health issues that have been surfacing for me, around relationships, coping with stress and family trauma. In only two sessions, she has shifted the anxiety and turned the volume down on the negative self talk I’ve had, and given me more confidence to move forward with more personal power. I would highly recommend Ghita to anyone wanting to get themselves on track, and tackle any negative self-talk that isn’t serving them. She is very knowledgeable and professional and cares about your results. Amazing sessions! I am so grateful to her.' - Donna Betterridge (Burleigh)
★★★★★ Google Review 2022: Individual Counselling and CBT for Stress and Anxiety
'Ghita was very friendly and professional. She gave me many different methods to cope with anxiety, for both on the go and at home. I see her on the regular. Each time I go I feel as though I understand my own anxiety better, as well as how to keep my brain and well being happy and healthy.' - Luna Anais (Coorparoo)
