A 24 HOUR REMINDER SMS is sent out the morning before your appointment with enough time so that you can postpone or cancel if you need to.
Rescheduling / Cancelling Online Bookings
Online bookings can easily be rescheduled by clients on the portal up to 24 hours prior. After this time, there are no refunds.
Rescheduling / Cancelling Phone Bookings
If you have booked via phone and need to change or cancel your appointment, please notify us no later than 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment time. This gives us enough time to offer your appointment to other clients.
If you confirm your appointment with us and then later cancel or change your appointment with less than 24 hours notice, you will be charged 100% of the full-fee for the session if we cannot slot you into an available appointment on the same day.
NO SHOWS/ LATE CANCELLATIONS for Employee Assist Program and NDIS Clients:
Please be advised that late cancellations or no shows will be billed to your provider or employer and they will be informed that you did no show up to the appointment that they have paid for.

EXCEPTION: Short Notice Due to Covid Testing
Although, we state than our policy is 24 hours, we offer some flexibility with clients feeling unwell or testing for Covid19. Cancellation (with less than 2 hours notice) and No Shows (Ghosting) are charged at full rate for individuals or couples who have tested positive for Covid19.
LACK OF CLIENT COMMITMENT
If clients forget to cancel (no show), continually reschedule appointments, refuse to pay for a late cancellation or are rude to the counsellor, Ghita Therapy withholds the right to withdraw all services.

- Appointments cannot be filled at short notice
- The online booking system specifies 24 hours notice and subtracts fees
- Medicare and Health Funds do not cover cancellations of rebated sessions, so neither do we
- 24 hour policy is stated on this page and on all reminder texts. Furthermore, it is also written on the contract that you may have signed, which means that you have agreed to these terms
- Please note that if we can slot you into a later appointment on the same day we will allow the credit to be transferred. However, during busy times this may not be possible and you will forfeit your fee.

- *Please note it may take 7 days for the credit card funds to clear into our account before we can refund your fee.
PACKAGE REFUNDS
- 24 hours notice (or more) of cancellation before package has begun: Full refund
- Packages each have their own terms and conditions listed on the page they are advertised on. In general, we do not refund unused hours once a package has begun. By purchasing a package you agree to the terms and conditions. There are no excuses for not having read the T&Cs.
